Katherena Howell, 92, of Westerville, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Ann's Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1921 in Yale, IL.
Katherena was preceded in death by her father, Corwin Whisennand; mother, Helen (William) Abraham Cunningham; husband, Jack Henry Howell.
She retired as V.P. and corporate secretary of County Savings Bank.
Katherena also held administrative secretarial positions for a number of years with the Klingbeil Company and its subsidiary, Land First, Inc.
She was Administrative Secretary to the Ohio State Manager of Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation for 20 years and for many of those years edited the Ohio section of the company's national magazine.
Katherena graduated from Central High School and attended Franklin University.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Wilson; granddaughter, Laura (Scott) Lynch; grandson, Michael (Shari) Wilson; great grandchildren, Ashley, Rachel, Jessica, Justin and Julia.
Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Breathing Association, 1520 Old Henderson Rd. Columbus, OH 43220.
