Katherine Dixon

Katherine M. Dixon, Beloved mother, life partner, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, 65, of Pataskala was welcomed into the world on May 23, 1949 and welcomed in Heaven on Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank J. and B. Madeline Schaub Dixon; birth mother, Pauline Goodwill; brothers, Mark Fesler and Jeffery Henestofle; sister, Barbara Virella; grandson, Timothy W. May; brother-in-law, Hector Virella.

She worked for Hospice of Columbus several years.

Kathy is survived by her partner in life, Dick Eckstein; son, Timothy (Cheryl) May; daughters, Madelynn May, Eileen (Andy) McCoy and Sheryl Eckstein; birth parent, Howard Henestofle; twin sister, Kay Harris; sisters, Mary Jane (Paul) Smith and Cindy (James) Staley; grandchildren, Katley May, Natalie, Morgan and Max McCoy, Julia May and many nieces, nephews and beloved pets.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Kathy was a mom to many and a friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.
