Katie O. Cole, 85, of Columbus, passed away May 27, 2019. Katie was born February 4, 1934 to Henry and Matilda (Mason) Smith.
She was a crafts person; she loved to crochet, ceramics, won a blue ribbon for her paintings. Katie was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She was a devoted Christian, devout wife and friend. Katie loved everyone, especially her children. She loved to travel around the world with her husband.
She was married to Murphy Cole III for 62 years.
Katie will be deeply missed by her husband; children Myron Cole, Sharon Denise Cole, Murphy Cole IV; grandchildren; sisters Gwendolyn Joseph, Elnora Legion, Patricia Smith.
Katie was preceded in death by son Marvin Wayne Cole.
