Kenneth R Murphy

Kenneth "Ken" R. Murphy was born on March 14, 1936, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 in Sprinfield, Ohio at the age of 90.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Ann (Wasem) Murphy; Children, Martha "Sharon" Creekmore, Duane Shannon Murphy, Jason (Theresa) Murphy, step-daughter, Lisa (Tim) Knisley; Grandchildren, Jerome, Justin, Patrick and Laura, Hannah, Ian, Corey, Jordan, Zachary; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel Luther Murphy and Eva Mae Perkins and 10 siblings.

Ken enjoyed time with family, especially his grandchildren, country and bluegrass music. He enjoyed summers in Kentucky with extenced family, and visiting the Ford Museum in Detriot, Michigan. He loved classic cars. He retried after 30 years working for the State of Ohio in security. 

A graveside service will be on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 11:30am at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St., Galloway, Ohio 43119.
