Kevin Karuri Gakure
October 7, 1978 — June 23, 2018
Kevin Karuri Gakure, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2018 following a car accident.
He was born in Nakuru, Kenya to John Wairegi Gakure and the late Elizabeth Gathoni, and is preceded in death by his brother Pius Wairegi. He is survived by his nucleus family; dad, John Gakure, step-mom, Elizabeth, brothers; Maxwell and Patrick (Columbus, OH), sisters; Jane, Anne, Lilian and Patricia and a host of many other extended family members. He graduated from Franklin University and was a resident of Columbus at that time.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 6 2018, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7 2018, 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Go Ye Outreach Ministries, 4251 Maize Rd, Columbus, OH 43224 with the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus, OH
Kevin was a friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
