August 17, 1968- April 25, 2025

Kevin Ray Oney, beloved father, son, brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly at the age of 56 on April 25, 2025. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Oney, and brother Dale Oney. He is survived by mother, Vonda Oney, mother of his children, Lisa Oney, son, Cameron (Elizabeth) Oney, daughter, Olivia Oney, and sisters Patricia (Bill) McSchooler, and Michelle Oney. He was also an adored uncle to Brittany Conner.

Kevin devoted much of his life to South-Western City Schools, where he was known as the most loved custodian anyone could ever hope for. His compassion, love, and humor touched the lives of countless students over the years.

Kevin was a proud and passionate sports fan. He cheered fiercely for his favorite teams: Kentucky Wildcats basketball, and Michigan and Cincinnati Bengals football as well as his Alma Mater, Franklin Heights. Whether it was game day or just a regular conversation, Kevin’s love for sports was contagious and brought so many together.

Under his tough exterior he was a gentle, loving cat Dad to Ollie, Bubba and Jobi.

Above all, Kevin loved his family and friends deeply. He leaves a legacy of hard work, unwavering love, and strength that will live on in all who were lucky enough to have known him.
