Laurie Enright, age 62, of Columbus, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on July 11, 2025.
Born and raised in Columbus, Laurie was the beloved daughter of the late David and Dorothy Enright. A proud graduate of Briggs High School, Class of 1981, Laurie lived a life full of laughter, warmth, and love.
She had an infectious joy and a deep desire to make those around her happy. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit bright, and she spent her life seeking-and spreading-happiness. Family, faith, and friendship were her guiding lights. Laurie was a devoted Catholic.
Laurie built a long and successful career in hospitality, spending several decades with the Crowne Plaza in Columbus, where her vibrant personality and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on both colleagues and guests alike.
Her passions were many: she loved dancing, singing, Broadway plays, dining out, and gathering with loved ones - especially for Ohio State Buckeyes games. Laurie found peace and joy in time spent at Buckeye Lake and treasured getaways to her favorite places.
She will be remembered for her unwavering positivity, her radiant smile, and the strength and grace with which she faced the challenges of recent years. Laurie loved her family, was a hard worker, and a loyal friend, and someone who truly believed in the power of laughter and the beauty of life. Her motto was simple: Live, Laugh, Love - and she lived it every day.
Laurie's presence will be deeply missed, but the joy she brought to the world will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Laurie is survived by her eight siblings, Stephen Enright, Thomas (Pam) Enright, James (Melissa) Enright, Robert (Laura) Enright, Karen Enright, Susan (Steve) Nigh, Mariann Enright, and Michael (Lori) Enright; numerous nieces and nephews.
