Laura Thelma (Deeter) Parsons, 88, of Columbus, OH graduated to Heaven peacefully in her home, while surrounded by her loved ones on June 22, after courageously fighting a battle with breast cancer.
Laura was preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 69 years, Clair. Her legacy lives on with her family, her loving children; Roger (Sue), Beverly (Larry) Hill, Randall (Lisa), 9 grandchildren; Angel, Amee, Jennifer, Anthony, Danielle, Alexandria, Adriannah, Jeffrey, Michelle, 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; Marjorie Scott and Gertrude Ahart. Our family gives a special thanks to family and friends who stepped in to help with her care, also to Hospice for their tender care and attention, and to Laura's extended family from Lost Hollow Chapel.
We have been blessed with her love, strength, courage, faith and Godly example that she lived, and showed us each and everyday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lost Hollow Chapel, 16700 Harble Griffith Road, #143, Logan, OH 43138.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A celebration of life service will be held at 10am, Friday, June 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Weatherby Cemetery, Coolville, OH.
