Lawrence G. "Larry/Sonny" Stephens, Sr, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Larry was born in Columbus, OH on April 26, 1928, to Fred G. and Hiawatha (Garrett) Stephens and is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Clara Stephens and Mildred Terry; brother, Warren Stephens.
Survivors include his daughter, Peggi (Rodney) Galloway; sons, Lawrence (Beverly Langley) Stephens, Jr,R. Michael (Angela) Stephens and Howard Stephens; sister, Charlene Francis; grandchildren, Donald (Heather) Estis, Amber Estis, Simone Stephens, Zachary Stephens; great-grandson, Dane Estis; mother of his children, Anna Stephens; other family and friends.
Larry retired from Westinghouse after 33 years and was an avid bowler for many years.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, September 26, 2013, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH.
