Lawrence Kennedy

Lawrence L. Kennedy, 84, of Grove City, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born to Lawrence and Arie Kennedy on December 14, 1931 in Grayson, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances (Messer) Kennedy; son, Gary Kennedy; daughter, Carolyn Kennedy; brother, Donald Kennedy; sisters, Betty Kitchen and Phyllis Kennedy and great-grandson, Baby Brad Hunt.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lottie (Harmon) Kennedy; daughter, Georgia (Mike) Howard; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; step-children, Rudolph (Nikki) Kersey, Deric (Suzanne) Kersey, Jay (Fredericca) Kennedy; brothers, Gordon (Joyce) Kennedy and Tom Kennedy and sister, Mary Kennedy.

Lawrence was a pastor at Columbus Cathedral for many years after working in many other capacities at the church.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Newcomer Funeral Home, SW chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m. also at Newcomer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
