Leeman Doyle Spradlin, affectionately known as Lee, passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on June 27, 1940, in New Lexington, Ohio, Lee lived a life full of laughter, love, and dedication to his family and career.
Lee enjoyed a successful career at ABB Industrial Nucleonics, where he met with various companies to develop and produce measuring devices. His sharp intellect and easy-going demeanor made him well-liked by colleagues and clients alike.
A proud veteran, Lee served in the Navy and held his military service close to his heart, often reflecting on those years with honor and reverence.
Known for his humor and positive outlook on life, Lee had a passion for golfing and enjoyed playing the occasional game of bowling. He was a devoted family man who cherished times spent with his grandchildren, Brian and Adam, who brought immense joy to his life.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Janice Spradlin; daughter, Karen Strickland; son, Gregory Spradlin; grandchildren, Brian (Ashley) Strickland and Adam Strickland, brother, Roy (Ann) Spradlin; sister, Susie (Rich) Turner; and brother-in-law, Tommy Richards. He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey Spradlin; mother, Laura Sue Dotson; and sisters, Norma Richards and Joyce Mayberry.
Lee's legacy lies in the beautiful life he built with Janice and the incredible family they raised together. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
