Leland Claire Hess, 81, formerly of Athens, passed away April 29, 2018.
He was preceded in death by parents, Phil and Mabel Hess; and siblings, Eurless Shellman and Hope Ling.
Leland is survived by wife, Lois; children, Nanci Hess, George (Robin) Grosser, Jeff (Joy) Grosser, Mark Grosser, Susan Grosser-Marcum, and Todd (Rosalind) Grosser; grandchildren, Russell (Nicole) Grosser, Heather Grosser, Ryan Grosser, Cassandra Grosser (Kenny), Ashley Marcum Hayslip, Adam (Tiffany) Marcum, Mason Grosser; eight great-grandchildren, and siblings, Phil Hess, Joyce (Carlos) Nicholson, Don (Peggy) Hess, and Barbara Sue (Ricky) Dean.
Leland was employed with Kroger and Coca-Cola and most recently at Cleveland Plant and Flower.
Visitation Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213. Entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leland's memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
