Leonard Charles Bohanan Sr of Dublin, Ohio peacefully passed away on Monday, October 20th, 2025. Leonard was born in Cedartown, Georgia on August 22nd, 1936, to Reena and Willie Bohanan. Leonard married the love of his life, Magnolia, and together they raised six children – five sons and one daughter.
Despite many obstacles, Leonard was never afraid to follow his dreams. When his growing family was still young, he moved them to Ohio, eventually settling in the historic Lucy Depp area of Dublin. With hard work and determination, Leonard opened and operated two successful businesses in his lifetime, a construction company that built and maintained highway overpass bridges and an automotive mechanic shop.
Leonard Sr leaves behind his beloved wife, Magnolia, his five sons and their wives, Frank (Sonya), Leonard Jr. “Charlie” (Linda), Marvin (Lisa), Mark Anthony “Tony” (Audrey), and Randy (Angela), his sister Ester Neal, ten grandchildren Bo, Hamilton, Bryan, Reesa, Anthony, Aron, Alex, Talia, Michael, Mark Anthony Jr, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Leonard Sr is preceded in death by his daughter Janet, his parents Reena and Willie Bohanan, his brothers Albert, Willie, Frank, and sisters Geraldine Davis, Maddie Alexander.
A Memorial Service will begin at 12 noon, Monday, November 24, 2025 at Newcomer Fuenral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065.
