Liann O’Neill White. Born August 31st, 1951, Deceased March 29th, 2025. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Jotham J. White. No Children were born to the Whites. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur J. O’Neill. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn L. O’Neill, brother Terry L. O’Neill and her niece, Marisa O’Neill Ross who was with her at her death.
Liann embraced life with passion and joy, finding beauty in countless pursuits. In her younger years, she expressed her creativity through painting and sewing her own clothes. As time went on, her love for adventure and connection led her to travel the world alongside her beloved husband, mother, brother, and friends. She had a gift for hospitality—not just hosting dinner parties, but orchestrating unforgettable gatherings filled with exquisite meals and entertainment. It was not uncommon for Liann to welcome 10 to 30 guests into her home, treating them to beautifully curated evenings.
Her culinary passions were just as vibrant as her heart. She delighted in Italian cuisine, serving homemade warm focaccia bread with dipping oil, crisp Caesar salads, and perfectly crafted pasta dishes. She longed to find almond croissants that could rival those she had tasted in France—her absolute favorite indulgence.
Though humble and soft-spoken, Liann had a sharp wit that would shine through at the most unexpected moments, bringing laughter that often-left friends in tears. She was known for her playful surprises, perhaps a pair of quirky glasses tucked in her purse or a hilariously unexpected postcard arriving from one of her travels, always designed to bring a smile.
While her love of food and travel were strong in her life, she found the most joy in having a close personal relationship with her god, Jehovah. She was a baptized, active, witness of Jehovah God for over 59 years in the Westerville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This caused her to show love for others in any way she could and to have a fierce love for her husband, Jotham. Her thoughtfulness in showing that love and compassion seemed unmatched to those that knew her. There are no words to describe the vacuum of her passing that is left on so many.
