Lila Ruth Verne, 59, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Kobacker House.
She was born March 2, 1956 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Lyla Kay Shriver Collins.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters, Susie Cavanaugh and Macy M. Hagerman.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruby A. (Jody) Allison, Sarah L. (John Johnston) Verne, Sherry C. (Frederick) Messer and Sirena M. Nichols; grandchildren, Stephen Allison, Christian Messer and Emma Messer; sister, Myrtle M. Collins; fiancé, Claude Simmons; and many nieces, nephews and all family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kobacker House c/o Ohio Health Foundation, L-3533 P.O. Box 600001 Columbus, OH 43272 or the American Cancer Society Central Region Office- FRAO, 5555 Frantz Rd. Dublin, OH 43017.
Ruth was a loving mother, maw maw, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.
You may be gone but will never be forgotten. You hold a very special place in all of our hearts.
