Lillian I. Mitchell, 86, passed away on June 29, 2014 in Columbus, OH. She was born on March 29, 1928 in La Follette, TN to Alexander and Flora (Foust) Heatherly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Flora Mitchell; four sisters; and two brothers.
Lillian is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Mitchell; children, Danny Hembree, Ron (Michelle) Hembree, and Sue (Kermit) Howell; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Moeller.
Visitation for Lillian will be on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
