Linda Sue Carter

Linda Sue Carter, born November 28, 1953, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, with her loving husband by her side.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband Arnold F. Carter; her son, James (Debbie) Doughty and their five children; and her daughter, Angel Donaldson and her four children. She is also survived by several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ralph (Terri) Doughty and Dennis (Marybeth)Huffman; her sisters, Dorothy Skaggs and Betty (Mike) Hopper; as well as many nieces, nephews, close friends, and neighbors who will deeply miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Lee Doughty and Juanita Mae Doughty Asbury; her son, Paul Richard Doughty; her brother, Ronald Doughty; her brother-in-law, Gene Skaggs; and her best friend of many years, Jackie Todd.

Linda had a heart for serving others and found great joy in helping at the food pantry and serving those in need at the free church. She was a passionate fan of Ohio State and the Dallas Cowboys, and she loved spending time thrift shopping, as well as enjoying karaoke, darts, playing cards, and listening to country music. Above all, Linda treasured time with her family and friends. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Buckeye and Brutus.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a future date.
