Linda Moseley, age 69, passed away on July 6, 2019. She was born on November 4, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio. She went to Walnut Ridge high school, where she participated in choir and theater and graduated in 1967. She married the love of her life Mark, May 17, 1969. Later on she welcomed her two daughters Nicole and Rachel, who were the most important part of her life. She worked as a waitress over 25 years at Scioto Downs, where they called her, "Patio Linda" and over 15 years as a caterer at Veterans Memorial.
Linda was a devoted wife and mother, who was a genuine Renaissance woman of many talents, hobbies and interests, in which she also inspired her children and grandchildren to be. She was a great dancer, singer, musician, cook, master tailor, handy-woman, interior designer, orator, comedian, family historian, boss, film and book critic, gardener/farmer, humanitarian and artist. Everyone loved Linda, because she never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand however she could, whether it was making/giving food, clothing, lending shelter, giving a smile or encouraging wisdom, advice or funny story. She never sought out praise or money for the support and help she would give to others, but simply tell them to "Pay it forward." She was the kind of women who would shake hands and thank policemen, firemen and especially all military veterans for their service.
Linda is within all of us. She is the tug at your heart strings when you see a new baby (because she loved children and they loved her). She is the laugh so hard you do the Storts snort when you hear a hilarious joke. She is the compassionate part of you who invites any and all in for spaghetti or chili, because there is enough and everyone has a seat at the table. She is the passionate part of you who loves music and cannot sit still when a "fresh beat" is on the radio! She is the unconditional love that swells in your heart when you spend it with your family. Her spirit is within you, your mother, grandmother, daughter, or even a stranger on the street. This shows us all that Linda will always be remembered, missed and loved.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 years, Mark; children, Nicole (Andy) Rogerson and Rachel Moseley; siblings, Sandi (Mike) Jones, Max "Skipper" (Pam) Storts, Donald Storts, Richard Storts, Marianne (Jeff) Krebs; grandchildren, McLaren, Phelan and Kiefer Rogerson. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Max Storts, mother, Evelyn "Chickie" Ege; brother, Daniel Storts; sister, Shelley Hemingway.
