Taylor (nee O'Donnell)
Linda M. Taylor, 74, of Westerville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Washington, PA on May 19, 1941.
Linda lived in Cross Creek, PA until 1970.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Tuttle O'Donnell; husband, Franklin Taylor; grandson, Warner James Himmelreich; sister-in-law, Sheran O'Donnell.
She graduated from Avella High School in 1959 and the California University of PA in 1963.
Linda did her graduate work at West Virginia University.
She taught at Trinity Junior Senior High School in Washington, PA from 1963-1970.
When Linda married her husband, Franklin they relocated to Columbus, OH, where she was a teacher for the Columbus Public Schools Northland Senior High School from 1971-1996.
While at Northland, Linda served as chair of the English Department and a Valkyrie Drill Team Advisor.
She loved her students and loved teaching.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Eric) Himmelreich; granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Himmelreich; brother, James (Kim) O'Donnell; nieces, Kelli (Bob) Alvarez and Jamie O'Donnell; great niece, Alyssa Alvarez and several cousins and good friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society East Central Division, 5555 Frantz Rd. Columbus, OH 43017.
