Lisa Anne Goldsby Salvato went home to be with her Lord and Savior, passing away unexpectedly yet peacefully on June 2, 2017 at the young age of 53.
Lisa was born on February 12, 1964 to Mary Anne and Ted Goldsby, Jr. in Lubbock, Texas. She moved several times while young but ultimately settled in and around the Columbus, Ohio area. This move turned out to be one of the biggest blessings in her life. In her teens, she met and became friends with a wonderful group of girls who became her world. These girlfriends became ingrained in Lisa's life until and beyond her very last breath; her sister friends.
In 1982, Lisa graduated from Bexley High School and ventured out into the college and working world. On November 19, 1988, Lisa married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Chris Salvato, and they spent the remainder of her earthly days bonded as one. Together, Lisa and Chris brought into the world and raised two amazing children, Samantha Anne Salvato Bishop and Christopher Dominic Salvato. Lisa dedicated her life whole-heartedly to her family. She lived as the most devoted, loving, good-intentioned, spiritual, and God-loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, friend, Buckeye fan and ultimately, follower of Jesus and child of God. Words can not adequately express the depth of the sorrow of those who knew and loved her here on earth but take heart in knowing she is but waiting for us just around the bend. Lisa, God most definitely had a purpose for your life….You fought the good fight, you finished the race and you kept the faith. "Well done, my good and faithful servant…." (Matt. 25:23)
Lisa is survived by her husband of almost 30 years, Chris Salvato; daughter, Samantha Salvato Bishop and her husband, Aaron; son, Christopher Salvato; grandson, Miles Theodore Bishop; mother, Mary Anne Brody and husband, Gary; sister, Angela Goldsby Thornton and husband, Trey; sister Ginnie Goldsby Powell; brother, Matthew Goldsby; her 100 year old "Mamaw", Elsie Goldsby; step-siblings Alan, Greg, and Kristy and spouses; and many, many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.
Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved "Hon", (grandfather) Ted Goldsby, Sr.; father, Ted Goldsby, Jr.; "Granny and Granddaddy" Alene and John Williams, Sr; and her dear friend Deetra May.
