Lisa Williams passed away peacefully on March 12 in Columbus, Ohio. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Lisa was the kindest person many of us will ever know. She had a huge heart and spent so much of her life caring for others.
Those who knew Lisa will remember her wonderful sense of humor. She was funny, playful, a little mischievous, and always ready to laugh. She brought lightness and joy wherever she went.
Lisa loved gardening, and nothing made her happier than sharing the many fruits and vegetables from her garden with the neighbors in the neighborhood she loved so much — a place where friends looked out for one another and felt more like family.
She also loved thrifting, treasure hunting, and collecting. Whether at thrift stores, estate sales, or online auctions, Lisa delighted in finding interesting items and little treasures. Her curiosity and enthusiasm for the hunt were part of what made her so fun to be around.
Lisa dedicated many years of her professional life to working with children as a physical education teacher at Christ the King School, where she served for more than two decades. She later worked in other roles, including as a massage therapist and at Fresh Thyme Market. No matter the job, Lisa brought warmth, humor, and kindness to everyone she encountered.
She was also a devoted daughter and caregiver to her parents, caring for them with the same compassion she showed to so many others.
Lisa is survived by her partner, Jackie; her brothers, Michael, Greg, Stephen, and Gary; her sister, Linda; fourteen nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and a tenth on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents Russ and Peggy and her brother, Richard.
Lisa’s life was defined by love, laughter, generosity, and a spirit that made people feel welcome and cared for. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
