Liza Maria Magee, 45, of Dublin, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at O.S.U. Medical Center after courageously fighting an extended illness.
She was a most devoted and giving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.
Liza was born February 26, 1969 in Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Cormanick and nephew, Christopher Jackson.
Liza attended St. Anthony Catholic School, St. Francis De Sales (Senior Year Student Government School President) in 1987 and received her B.A. in Spanish from The Ohio State University in 1991.
While at O.S.U. she served as the Student Assistant to the Volleyball Coach and traveled the world with the team for four years.
While in Davenport, Iowa she was a Volleyball Coach and Associate Athletic Director at Assumption High School.
Liza served as her husband's Practice Manager at Dublin Chiropractic Center.
She instituted many projects for the Dublin Girl Scout Troop 50276 that are still in place today.
Liza had a lifelong commitment helping others and actively serving in many charitable events.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Terry "Skip" Magee; son, Tyler Magee; daughter, Katy Magee; mother, Rosa-Maria (George W. Green) Moreno; sister, Angie (Brian) Jackson; brother, David (Monsi) Cormanick; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Dreama Magee; brother and sister's-in-law, Kelly (Scott) Buck, Greg (Tammy) Magee and Kristi (Scott) Welch; grandmother, Violet Bircher Cormanick and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved pets.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2014 from 9:00-11:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr. Columbus, with the funeral mass beginning at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Liza Cormanick Magee Memorial Fund at any 5/3rd Bank, 420 Metro Place S. Suite A Dublin, OH 43017.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Mama Lily, Papito, Dad and Denise are rejoicing your arrival to voice your opinions, organizing their calendars and keeping everyone in line. We will continue to seek your advice and knowledge as you help guide us throughout the rest of our lives. Liza, you will live forever in our hearts, watching over us as our strong angel of courage and love.
