Lois Jane Chisler went home to be with the Lord on the most beautiful sunny day, May 8, 2026, surrounded by her family that loved her so deeply.

Lois grew up on a farm in Groveport, and had a deep love for animals. She graduated from Groveport Madison High School in 1965, and was part of the junior choir. She met the love of her life, Carl Wayne Chisler, and they married in 1967. They had four beautiful children; Mary Jo, Russ, Rick, and Karla. She worked at Federal Glass and Anchor Hocking for many years and was also a dedicated homemaker, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She had a passion for the Special Olympics of Ohio where her son Rick competed for many years.

Lois is survived by her loving children; Mary Jo (Jackie) Cline, Russ (Ann) Chisler, Rick Chisler, and Karla (Nick) Paschal. Her brother David (Diana) Rhinesmith; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also blessed with 14 grandchildren; Jacklyn (Brian) Campbell, Joshua (Carrie) Cline, Jeff Cline, Katie (Caleb) Wireman, Jeremy Chisler, Hanna (Nick) Landenburg, Ava Paschal, Ariah Cline, Layla Cline, Jalin Cline, Rocco Paschal, Kyson Cline, Bella Paschal, and Jonah Cline.

Her 8 great-grandchildren: Brady Campbell, Nolan Campbell, Layla Wireman, Zayden Wireman, Seraphina Campbell, Gwendolyn Cline, Jaxon Wireman, and Ellee Landenburg, whom she treasured deeply. She was also grandmother to many foster children throughout the years, to whom she left a legacy of love and laughter.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Carl. Her sister Betty Ann (George) Wilson, her brother Don Rhinesmith, her mother Alberta, father James Rhinesmith, grandmothers; Amelia Holbrook, and Mamie Rhey Rhinesmith, and grandfathers; James Ray and James Rhinesmith.

Visitation Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 9am to 11am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service to begin at 11am. Interment to follow at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
