With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Lois (Entsminger) Courtright on February 28, 2026, at the age of 76.
Lois was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, dedicated nurse, and beloved coach whose life was defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering love. She poured her heart into everything she did — especially her family and her calling to care for others.
As a nurse, she served with remarkable kindness and steady grace. She had a calming presence that brought comfort to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. Caring for others wasn’t just her profession; it was who she was.
She was also a passionate high school cheerleading coach who inspired young athletes to believe in themselves both on and off the field. She taught her students about teamwork, discipline, confidence, and heart. Many of them carried her lessons far beyond their high school years.
At home, she was the heart of the family. Her kitchen was filled with the sweet aroma of something baking — cookies cooling on the counter, cakes made for celebrations, and treats prepared “just because.” Baking was her love language, and every recipe carried a little extra ingredient: her love.
She leaves behind her loving daughter Allison Hoffner (Chuck), who was her greatest pride and closest friend, and two cherished granddaughters Emma and Scarlett who were the light of her life. Becoming “YaYa” was one of her greatest joys, and she delighted in every hug, laugh, and milestone. She is also survived by her brother Bill Entsminger (Kathy), niece Kristi Nunamaker (John), nephew Benny Entsminger (Brittany) as well as great nephews and nieces Jaxson, Evan, Julie and Zoey. She was preceded in death by her parents William & Martha Entsminger, husband Harry Courtright, brother Scott Entsminger and nephew Aaron Entsminger.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she healed, the students she mentored, and the family she adored. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are forever grateful for the love she gave so freely.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Sunday March 8, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel. 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123. Visitation from 11-1 with funeral services to follow at 1 pm.
She was our comfort, our cheerleader, and our home. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
