Lois Evelyn Grice

Lois Evelyn Grice, 89, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away May 31, 2021.
She was born in West Portsmouth, Ohio on February 23, 1932 to the late Audubon and Esther (Waller) Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years William B. Grice.
Surviving family includes sons, Daniel L. (Jodye) Grice, Edward S. (Cynthia) Grice, Paul W. (Toni) Grice; grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsey (Paul) Siefker, Stephanie (Josh) Beatty, Preston (Anna), Amanda (Brad) Pausley, Joshua (Ashley); 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Lois was a member of Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Women's Mentor.
She would tell you "this world is not my home, I am just passing through. My treasures are all laid up somewhere beyond the blue".
Lois retired from Western Electric after over 25 years.
She loved to crochet and had a wonderful green thumb.
Lois loved her children and grandchildren being always active in their lives.
She was a very strong, warm, kind and loving mother and grandmother to all.
Lois supported her children in every journey of their lives and encouraged them along the way.
Lois was open to those who needed her, as a helping hand or an ear to listen.
She was truly a beautiful woman and will be missed by those who loved her.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7th, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH 43231. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 8th at 11:00 am at Johnstown Independent Baptist Church - 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Road, Johnstown - OH 43031. A Burial take place at Green Hill Cemetery - Johnstown, OH.
