Lois "Jeanne" Bartellis
March 27, 1937 — July 2, 2014
L. Jeanne Bartellis, age 77, passed away at Westminster Thurber after a lengthy illness on July 2. Born March 27, 1937, Jeanne spent most of her teaching career educating 9th grade English students at Studebaker Junior High School in Huber Heights, OH near her home in Dayton.
She spent her spare time after retirement reading, caring for and finding homes for stray cats and dogs, and corresponding with a myriad of pen pals, both via "snail mail" and internet.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Overocker and her sister, Mary Weber. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Bartellis; niece, Darla (Tom) Ledford; nephew, Randy (Anne) Weber.
At Jeanne's request, there will be no funeral service.
