Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Loretta Mae Sanders (née Moore), who left this world on July 14, 2026, in Grove City, Ohio. She was born on February 3, 1953, in Prescott, Arizona, and in her 73 years, Loretta touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, generosity, and indomitable spirit.

Loretta’s journey began as the beloved daughter of Richard Moore and the late Mary Wasson Moore. She grew up alongside her siblings, including her cherished brother Robert Moore and her late sister Debra Moore. She formed deep and lasting family bonds early in life—bonds that only grew stronger as she welcomed her own children into the world.

Loretta’s love was the axis upon which her family turned. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Crystal Baker and Lisa Bell, along with their loving husbands, Bryan Baker and David Bell. She found immense pride and immense joy in watching her family grow, finding special delight as a grandmother to Broch (Ashley), Ryan (Taylor), and Jordan (Haile) Baker, Debra, and Sierra Bell. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her great-grandchildren: Magnolia and Opal Baker, La-Riyah Carter, Henry McCreary, and Jerimah McCreary.

Always family-oriented, Loretta kept close ties with her extended family, including her treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her brother, Robert, survives her, providing a living thread to shared childhood memories. Loretta also remembers those who went before her with love—her mother, Mary Wasson Moore, her sister Debra Moore, and her niece, Penny Moore. The bonds of family, in both joy and loss, were a defining element of her life.

She shared wisdom generously, offering advice laced with humor and kindness. Each generation has been shaped, in no small part, by her example—her compassion, her resilience, and her unwavering love.

While Loretta’s absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, her extraordinary legacy of love, family devotion, and kindness lives on in every person who had the privilege of knowing her. As her family and friends grieve her passing, they are comforted by the many precious memories she leaves behind.

Loretta Mae Sanders’ journey was one of deep relationships and immeasurable impact. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished by all who were touched by her gentle soul.
