Louis Franchini Jr, 81 of Columbus, passed away at Mt. Carmel/St. Ann's Hospital on April 26, 2016.
Born on January 16, 1935 to the late Louis Sr. and Mary (Pisconie) Franchini in Columbus, OH.
He graduated class of 1953 from Linden McKinley, worked 20 years at Lenox Furnace and 26 years at Anheuser-Busch.
Louis served in the U.S. Army Airborne 75th Ranger. Avid golfer at Wyandot Golf Course, Centerburg, OH.
Survived by children Stephen L. Franchini, siblings Frank Franchini, Mary Louise Shea and Henry (Jane) Franchini, grandchildren Stephen L., Louis N., and Victoria I. Franchini, great-grandkids Landen and Liam Franchini, numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a brother Richard G. Franchini, nephews Mark Knootz and Rick Shea.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm.
Funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10am with Father Charles Cotton officiating.
Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.
