Louise Estella Carnes

Louise Estella Carnes, age 102, passed away on July 6, 2026. Louise was born on February 15, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph and Irene Beard.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Olaf M. Carnes, daughter, Sandra Carnes, and sister Helen (Harold) Terry.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Maurice Carnes, Douglas (Victoria) Carnes, nephew, Steve Terry, grandchildren, Tyler Carnes, Tasha (Eric) Smith, Tara (Justin) Ellis, great-grandchildren, Gisella, Mackenzie, Scarlett, and Canaan.

Louise loved visiting Lexington, Virginia. She was a lifetime member of Karl Rd. Baptist Church. She was active in many groups at the church such as Bible Study and Prime Timer's Sunday School Class. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family more than anything, especially their Sunday dinners.

She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, July 13, 2026 for a Graveside Service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 11:30am.
