Louise Quick, age 88, of Columbus, Oh went to be with her Lord on February 10, 2019.
She was born on October 27, 1930 in Martin, County, KY. She was the 8th of 13 children by Ben and Mergie Fitzpatrick.
She retired from General Motors after 33 years of dedicated service.
Louise loved to sew and was a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and canned her own produce, which she shared with family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and always had a delicious meal prepared for those that visited.
Louise was very quick witted and had a huge sense of humor. She was always happy and would greet you with a warm hug. Most of all she was a very strong, loving person that lived for her family.
Being the Matriarch of the family, many values were instilled by her example. Louise lived a very happy, honest, caring, generous and hardworking life. She strongly believed in keeping her family close and being there for each other.
She is preceded in death by her son, Harold "JR" Lewis Van Houten and grandson, LCpl Benjamin H. Gearheart.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David L. Quick; daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Gearheart of Franklin, TN, Lexie (Jimmy) Waddle of Pataskala, OH, Julie (Tom) Coleman of Franklin, TN; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Yoder of Reynoldsburg, OH and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 4-8PM at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11AM at the funeral home with visitation starting at 10AM.
Burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
