Ludwika "Lucy" Palmer, formerly Wundschock, 89, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Villages of Westerville.
She was born November 22, 1925 in Siret, Romania.
Lucy left Romania during WWII and settled in Berlin where she met her first husband, Horst Wundschock, deceased.
She emigrated to Australia in 1952.
Lucy came to the United States in 1983 where she married Anthony Palmer, who died in May 1990.
She was an avid Volunteer serving 13 years as a caregiver with Hospice, a local Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and Central Florida Lyric Opera Company.
Lucy is survived by her stepchildren, Patsy (Daryl) Bateman, Richard (Beverly) Palmer and Yvonne Palmer; step-grandchildren, Michael (Tracy) Bateman, Matthew (Cynthia) Bateman, Jennifer (David) Troutman, Brandon Palmer and Brooke Palmer; step-great-grandchildren, Devon Bateman, Elizabeth Bateman, Emily Bateman, Christopher Bateman, Nicholas Bateman, Sophia Troutman , Isabella Troutman , Ava Troutman and Gavin Troutman.
Memorial service will be held at the Villages of Westerville Retirement Center, 215 Huber Village Rd. Westerville, OH on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:30 PM.
Burial will occur at The Boynton Beach Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice.
