Lustie Jane Kapiskosky, born on April 2, 1947, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Lustie was the embodiment of love and kindness, radiating joy and warmth to everyone who had the privilege to know her. The memories she leaves behind are a tapestry of laughter, generous spirit, and a smile that could light up any room.
As the Co-Owner of Anytime Design, Lustie's creative spirit shone through in everything she did. Her career was a true reflection of her passion for design, but it paled in comparison to her most cherished roles—as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Lustie's family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing and caring for them. Her legacy is rich with the love she cultivated within her family, and she often delighted in cooking for everyone, ensuring that every meal was a moment of connection and love.
Lustie is survived by her loving husband, Ernie Kapiskosky, whose partnership with her was a beautiful testament to enduring love. She leaves behind her children, Denise (Jeff) Shane and Ernie (Lisa) Kapiskosky, Jr., as well as her treasured grandchildren: Skylar Shane, Summer Shane, Kara Jean Kapiskosky, and Kolton Kapiskosky. Lustie also had the joy of a great granddaughter, Darby Duchin, who brought even more light into her life.
She shared a special bond with her siblings, especially Charlotte (Steve) Wiess, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all touched by her generous heart and loving nature.
Lustie's spirit will continue to be felt deeply among those she leaves behind, from the countless delightful memories to the lessons of love and compassion she instilled in her family. She joins her beloved parents, Gus and Helen (Jeffers) Vrotsos, and her brother, George Vrotsos, in eternal rest. Her caring and loving personality will be missed profoundly, yet we find solace in the lasting impact she made on all our lives. Her ability to bring people together with her laughter and warmth is a legacy that will forever echo in our hearts.
