Lynda D. Mobley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Hilliard, Ohio, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on November 19, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, Lynda’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience.
A proud graduate of Brookhaven High School in 1965, Lynda carried the spirit of determination and kindness throughout her life. She dedicated many years to Merck Medco as a customer service specialist, where her commitment and excellence were recognized with numerous certificates and awards. But beyond her professional accomplishments, Lynda’s proudest achievements were her family—her husband of 60 years, James Mobley, their children, and grandchildren.
Lynda’s personality was a radiant blend of compassion, sweetness, and humor. To know her was to love her; she was cherished for her kind heart and unwavering support. Her blue eyes and infectious laughter could light up any room, and she was known as the best supporter anyone could hope for. Whether traveling the world, riding motorcycles, spending precious moments with her family, or cooking meals filled with love, Lynda embraced life fully and shared her joy generously.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, James Mobley; her children, James Mobley Jr. (and his wife Jill Mobley), Kimberly Williams (and her husband Mike Williams), and Lindsay Hardy (and her husband Josh Hardy); and her treasured grandchildren Leah, Abby, Jimmy, Amelia, and Adalynn. Lynda also is survived by her sisters Sharon, Judi, and Susan, her brother-in-law Mark Mobley, as well as nephews, a niece and her life long best friend, Carol Weynand, all who cherished her presence in their lives.
Lynda’s legacy is one of immense love, laughter, and devotion. Even as Alzheimer’s gradually stole pieces of her memory, the warmth of her spirit remained etched in the hearts of all who loved her. She was preceded in death by Carlyle and Margery Albery.
Her family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of her bright eyes, her limitless kindness, and her unshakable support—a shining example of true love and strength. As they say goodbye, they cherish the gift of having known such a remarkable woman who gave so much and loved so deeply. Rest in peace, dear Lynda; your light will continue to shine in all those you touched.
