February 18, 1957 — January 2, 2015

Lynn A. Gardner, 57, Grove City, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Lynn was born in Columbus, OH on February 18, 1957, to Ralph and Genevieve (Schoeller) Gardner and is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Gardner and mother-in-law, Betty Schumacher.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 11 years, Vivian (Schumacher) Gardner; mother and her husband, Genevieve and Robert Miner; sisters, Linda Matanis, Elaine (Chuck) Layman, Elise Tripp and Lois (Brian Laver) Gardner; brothers-in-law, Irving (Julia) Schumacher and Lyle (Jill) Schumacher; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Lynn is a veteran of the US Army serving two tours of duty in Germany, worked for JC Penney and the Pilkington Company.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, January 5, 2015, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service to follow at 5:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213.
