Lynne Marie Chapman (née Klosterman), age 78, passed away surrounded by family on August 9, 2025, in Grove City, Ohio. Born on October 19, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lynne lived a full and spirited life marked by devotion to her family, a strong will, and a warm heart. She will be remembered most for her kind heart and the joy she found in those she loved. Her greatest happiness came from her grandchildren-seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter always lit up her day.
Lynne spent her professional years working as a secretary at Procter and Gamble, where she dedicated herself with diligence and care until her retirement. Her work ethic reflected the same determination that defined much of her life—she was known for her fierce independence and unwavering opinions. Once Lynne made up her mind about something, there was no changing it.
Beyond her career, Lynne found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for scrapbooking, capturing memories with creativity and love. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life; she enjoyed attending services and found comfort in her spiritual community.
Family was at the center of everything Lynne did. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kelly (Chapman) Schneider and Kelly’s husband Tom; their sons Wyatt and Ethan; her son Jason Chapman and his daughter Audrinna. She also leaves behind her older sisters Joyce and Donna, as well as her younger brother Skip.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Irvin Klosterman; and her older sister Janet.
Those who knew Lynne will remember her warmth, humor, and deep love for those closest to her. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and would do anything for them. Her laughter was infectious, and she never hesitated to share it freely with others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness that will be carried on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Lynne’s presence is deeply missed by all who loved her. May her memory bring comfort to those who carry it forward. A Memorial Service will be held on August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Newcomer 3393 Broadway. There will be a gathering before hand at 10:00.
