M. Jenell Sullivan

M. Jenell Sullivan, 63, passed away on January 4, 2014 in Westerville, OH. Jenell was born on March 10, 1950 in Columbus, OH to Ralph and Mary (Eing) Sullivan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, David and Mark Sullivan.

Jenell is survived by her sister, Edith Sullivan; brothers Michael (Michaela) Sullivan, Thomas (Mary Kay) Sullivan, and Ralph (Linda) Sullivan; nieces, nephews, many cousins; her faithful pets, Max, who never left her side and Bailey, who gave her hugs and kisses every day; and her faithful friends that unconditionally loved and unselfishly supported her during her battle with leukemia, and most recently the cancer that took her life.

She worked for the Ohio House of Representatives for over 25 years. Some of her duties included managing the Pages Program, and assisted undergraduate students in assignments, training, and drama. She instilled her strong characteristics among them, many of which have gone on to become very successful lobbyists and businessmen and women, and chiefs among staff for congressmen. She had a wonderful, playful spirit and a determination to never give up: she would beat her cancer and return to work. Jenell was a special individual who would give her time at any hour of the day to her family and friends, whether they had a problem, or just wanted to talk. She would spend hours to talk things through if needed. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of The Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054 on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Church Gathering Space. Immediately following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for a celebration located at the Ministry Center adjacent to the church.
