Mabel M. Russell, age 98, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 11, 2014. She was born on November 3, 1916, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Walter and Agnes McRae.
Mabel earned her Master's Degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. She enjoyed her life-long career as a Nurse Anesthetist in Memphis, Tennessee. Mabel was a long-time member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, in Memphis. She enjoyed gardening and yard work and earned "Yard of the Year" twice in Memphis. Mabel had a great love for dogs, who provided her with companionship.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Columbus, Ohio.
