Marcelia J. King, 90, of Columbus, OH, passed away on December 18, 2017, and into the arms of her Lord and Savior.
She was born Marcelia Jeannette Huston on February 23, 1927, in Junction City, Perry County, OH.
After graduating from Junction City High School, Marcelia met her husband Paul at the Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company (now Nationwide Insurance), where she taught the new college graduate how to do her job. They married on April 4, 1951.
In addition to caring for her husband and three sons, Marcelia enjoyed church activities, including fellowship with members and church-related functions, family, shopping, travel, music, and scrapbooking. After her sons were grown, she worked for the Ohio Department of Taxation, retiring in 1989. Marcelia was a member of the Warren Avenue Church of the Nazarene and the First Church of the Nazarene.
She also attended the Life in Christ Fellowship in West Jefferson. Marcelia never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. King; parents, Ulric and Cecil Huston; sisters, Maudie Clack, Norma Lamb, and Dorothy Cullumber; and brothers, Sam and Paul Huston.
Her surviving family includes sons, K. N. (Susan Cole) King, Philip S. (Barbara) King, and Kevin M. King; sister, Dolores Fitzpatrick; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm, December 27, 2017 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where the funeral service will begin at 1pm.
Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
