Marcella "Marci" Walton

Marcella "Marci" Walton, born on January 27, 1949, in Columbus, OH, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2026. A proud graduate of New Albany High School, class of 1967, Marci lived a life full of rhythm and joy, enriching the lives of those around her.

Marci had a deep passion for clog dancing, dedicating 36 years to this lively art form. She delighted in performing with groups such as Sutter’s Stompers in California and the Midwest Cloggers and Wildfire Cloggers back home in Columbus. Her spirited tapping and warm smile will be fondly remembered by all who saw her dance.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter Angela Barnes, and her grandchildren James Barnes and Bryan Barnes, who shares a special bond with Sarah Wright. Her cousins Andrea Arbaugh, Wanda (Gary Groves), Connie, Donnie and Jamie Salyer, Shannon and Mike Moore, as well as her cherished friends Taleen O'Leary, Laurel Meyer, Darla Long, Debbie Gray, Paula Wernet, Denise Ison-Miller, Steve Smith, and Cheri McMillen stand together in mourning her loss.

Marci was preceded in death by her devoted parents James and Emma Walton, her brothers Ron, James, and Robert Walton, and her grandparents Elsie and Lotus Salyer.

A visitation will be held on June 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast, located at 3047 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231.

In her memory, we hold tight to the rhythm she left behind—the joy, laughter, and footsteps that marked a life beautifully danced.
