Marcus was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired steel worker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adah, parents, Marcus and Lennie Viola Byers, siblings, Harold, Ray, Viola, Carol.
Surviving family includes children, Linda Byers, Mary Byers, David Byers, brother, Phillip, close friend, Dave Rogers, numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a funeral service will begin at 1pm.
Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
