Madam Margaret Kemoh of 1824 White Pine Court, Columbus, Ohio died on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was 72. Margaret was born to Mr. Sam Abdulai Swaray and Jenneh Swaray in Sierra Leone, West Africa on April 8, 1945.
She is survived by 6 children; Daniel Kemoh, Jestina Smart, Alfred Yajo, Emmanuel Swaray, Francis Kemoh, and Peter Bewie. Daughters-in-law include: Georgina Kemoh, Jeneba Swaray, Adama Yajo, Mattu Morovia, and Larice Bewie. Son-in-law: Peregrine Smith. 15 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren. Countless Nieces, Nephews, Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and Well-Wishers both at home and abroad.
Mrs. Margaret Kemoh lived most of her life in Sierra Leone, serving her community as a Nurse and Mid-wife. She loved her church, family, community, and was known for her colorful style and outgoing personality.
The family will receive friends and well-wishers at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 4pm to 6 pm. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at The Faith Ministries Church, 2747 Agler Road, Columbus, Ohio 43224 also from 4pm to 6pm. Her remains will be flown home for burial in Sierra Leone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's honor to the family at 2831 Harnet Court, Columbus, OH 43231.
