Marianne Reid Farmer

Marianne Reid Farmer was delivered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2025. She was born on April 3, 1951, in Columbus,OH, and grew up in Powell, OH. After graduating from Dublin City Schools and Central State University in Wilberforce, OH, Marianne taught secondary and adult English education in East Cleveland. She ultimately resided in Galloway OH after retiring as a Program Manager and Peer Support Specialist Trainer under the ADAMH Board in Columbus OH Marianne is preceded in death by her husband, Lance Corporal Roscoe (Cap) Farmer, Jr. after 35 years of marriage; her parents, Jessie Melvin Reid, Sr. and Marianne Elaine Wooden Reid; and her brother, J. Mel Reid. She is survived by her sister, Debra Reid (Andrew) Taylor of Gahanna, OH; nephew, Nicholas King of Fayetteville, NC; niece, Danielle Taylor-Richardson, great niece and great nephew Aubrey and Danario, Jr.; aunt, Judy Kriesche; devoted caregivers, and countless special family and friends who Marianne considered as part of her village. Visitation Monday, September 29, 2025 from 11am until the time of memorial at 12pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus.
