Marie L. Himeshima

Marie (Viney) Himeshima, "Grammie," 70, passed away surrounded by family on September 1, 2026.

Born February 14, 1956 in Sendai, Japan.

She had a mind that never rested and an inquisitive, creative spirit that she poured in to all she did. She loved reading, crafting, flowers, and she dedicated hours researching her family’s genealogy. She sought guidance through astrology and passed on her belief in the healing powers of crystals. Above all, she was the anchor of her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Louis King and Katsuko F. Viney, as well as her sister, Clara N. Viney.

Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Masahiro Himeshima; her daughters, Gigi (Brad) Anderson and Emi (Keenan) Kalina; and her cherished grandchildren, Killian, Delaney, and Brennox Kalina, Wyatt Anderson, and Daniel Phillips.

A private service will be held for the family.
