Marie Weinberger

Marie Weinberger, 88, a long-time resident of Dayton, OH passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. She was born on June 7, 1926 in Monterey, IN to Arthur and Anzi (Copeland) Rasmussen.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alan Weinberger; daughter, Daenel Loney; brother, Duane Rasmussen; and best friend Mary-Jo Hayes.

She is survived by her children, David (Jay) Weinberger, and Karen Weinberger-Baker; grandchildren, Kelly (Zach) Ramey, Kaitlin Baker, Conrad (Ivy) Loney, and Cooper Loney; great-granddaughter, Aubree Ramey; and many loving friends.

Marie was an avid volunteer at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton, OH and was a Senior Companion for several years. She was a very compassionate person who definitely did things her own way, but always in the best interest of others. She loved good food and would cook for her family and friends often. She worked at several businesses throughout her life, but the career she loved the most was Real Estate, which she retired from after many years of employment. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
