Marilyn Louise Shiffman

Marilyn Louise Shiffman left us on March 26, 2026, at her residence with her husband David bedside. Born April 23, 1938 to farmers Laura and Stanley Lentz in Jeffersonville, Indiana, she developed lifelong interests in gardening, crafting, and art. After graduating from the University of Louisville, she made her way to Memphis, becoming the head Medical Records Librarian at a local hospital.

Some time after she married, she settled into the life of a homemaker, pursuing her artistic interests. One piece she was particularly proud of was rejected from the county fair because it was made with a difficult painting technique and the judges thought, "there's no way some normal person could have painted this."

She is survived by her husband David, and her son Steven.
