Marjorie Cummins, 88, of Hilliard, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018.
Marjorie was born June 28, 1929 to Philip and Coral (Henson) Atkinson.
Marjorie was raised in Columbus, Ohio and attended North High. She was accepted to the Ohio State University as a nursing student where she met John. They were married in 1951 and lived in several parts of the country including Michigan, New Jersey and Maryland, before moving back to Columbus. A life-long Buckeye fan, Marge enjoyed watching football and basketball games and cheering for the Scarlet and Gray. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed music and singing. Marge was a true disciple of her Catholic faith and was active in many church activities. Her greatest joys were her husband and family.
Marjorie will be deeply missed by her; children Jim (Nicole) Cummins, Jared (Susan) Cummins, Jeff (Roxann) Cummins, Suzi (Howard) Hamilton, Sarah Cooper, Phil (Julie) Cummins, daughter-in-law Diana Cummins; grandchildren John P. Cummins Jr., Chad Cummins, Kelly Rozwadowski, Tara Morizzo, Michael Cummins, Allison Cummins, Amanda Cummins, Kate Shiplett, Erin Snyder, Nick Cummins, Jessica Cummins, Jeremy Hamilton, Marcia Hamilton, Rebecca Hamilton, Cory Cummins, Kayleigh Cummins, Ryan Cummins, Michele Wilson; great-grandchildren C.J. Cummins, Sammie and Kristy Cummins, Elliot Cummins, Donivan Robertson, Noah Robertson, Beatrix Snyder, Hailey and Zoey Hamilton, Kendal and Griffin Wilson.
Along with her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, son John P. Cummins and daughter Anne Cummins.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 2018, at 10:30am at St. Brendan Church 4475 Dublin Rd. Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Penhallurick officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a Catholic Charity of your choosing.
