Marjorie Lou Smith

Marjorie Lou Smith, affectionately known as Margie, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on May 5, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, Margie was a vibrant presence in the lives of those who knew her. Her personality was one of a kind; she was very funny, loved by all, and known for being a handful. Margie's feisty spirit, outspoken nature, and honesty endeared her to many.

Margie had beautiful eyes that everyone commented on, which seemed to reflect the warmth and joy she brought to her family and friends. She cherished spending time with her family and found great joy in the companionship of her beloved cat, Princess.

Margie leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Angel Ekwall, and her grandchildren: Monica (Zachray) Smith-Dulin, Jacob Williams, Tammy (Josh) Williams, Christian Williams, and Felicity Ekwall. She also had two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Dulin and Laim Baker. Her sisters, Peggy (Randy) Davis, Lori (Scott) Davis, and brother John Luther Martin,  will also remember her fondly.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Marion Martin, and her mother, Geradine Morgan. Margie will be deeply missed by her loved ones, including her late daughter, Amanda Tomlison, and her brothers: Richard Martin, Dean (Jenny) Martin, and Paul Maisenbacher.

Margie's legacy of laughter, love, and honesty will forever be a cherished memory for those she left behind.
