Mark Samuel Frederick, 63, was welcomed with a joyous celebration in Heaven to the immediate presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2025. He was born on May 7, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, and resided in Powell, Ohio.
Mark graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School, in Columbus. He was a veteran having proudly served as a scout sniper in the United States Marine Corps, Kilo Company. Mark was an exceptional dog trainer for over 30 years. He was a member of Grace Powell Church where he led men’s and couple’s Bible studies. He was the Awana Commander in children’s ministries for decades and taught fourth and fifth grade Sunday School with his wife for 10 years. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted and patient husband and a loving, hands-on parent to Madeline and Michael. He was a warrior for Christ and beloved by everyone who knew him. Upon his homecoming, no doubt he heard from our Heavenly Father “Well done good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert V. Frederick and Iris A. (Roca) Frederick.
Surviving family includes his wife, Stephanie Watson, children, Madeline Watson, Michael Watson, brother, Christopher C. (Kathleen) Frederick, nephew, Samuel (Danielle) Frederick and their children, Vera, Jax, & Ford, nephew, Elliot (Maddie) Frederick and their children, Blakely & Jovie, and nephew and godson, Nicklaus Frederick.
Visitation at Grace Powell Church, 7600 N. Liberty Road in Powell, Ohio, June 7, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a celebration of his life immediately following.
Burial with military honors will follow at Oller Cemetery, Delaware, Ohio.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD).
