Mark G. McNeil

Mark G. McNeil, 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026, at Norton Health and Rehab Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mark was born on September 21st, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Paul and Maggie (Hall) McNeil.

In his free time, Mark was an avid fisherman and fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and also had a special love for motorcycles. More than anything else in the world, however, Mark loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them, especially his grandkids who were his pride and joy.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary (Holbrook) McNeil; his daughters, Susan (Matt) Frazier and Connie (Greg) Backus; his grandchildren, Autumn, Samuel, Mark, Chenoa, Austin, Brandon, Katie, Jessica, Brianna, Mykel and Anthony; his sisters, Lori and Carolyn McNeil; his brother, Ronald McNeil; sister-in-law, Pam (Ken) Faryman; brother-in-laws, Dan (Tina) Speakman and David (Sherri) Holbrook; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son Mark McCreary; his daughter, Kristi Parker; and his brother, Thomas McNeil.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio (614-539-6166). A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral chapel at 4:00pm with Rev. Ken Faryman and Pastor Noah Burris officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the family's name to Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio (614-539-6166) to help with funeral expenses.
