Marvin Dale Cochran, Sr.

Marvin Dale Cochran, Sr., 78, of Columbus, passed away on November 3, 2026 at Mount Carmel Grove City. He was born in Perry Township, Ohio on July 29, 1948 to the late Raymond and Edna (Clary) Cochran. He met Wanda Williams in 1974, spending 21 years together; they married on March 3, 1995.

Along with his loving partner of over 52 years, Wanda; Marvin is survived by son, Marvin Cochran, Jr.; daughter, Amber Cochran; siblings, Earl Cochran and Pam Johnson; grandchildren, Matt Kuhn, Allison Kuhn, Morgan Cochran, Marvin Cochran III, Gavin Tackett, Danielle Tackett, and Eli Mayes; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Along with his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Kuhn (Cochran).

Marvin worked as part of the Roofer’s Union for over 50 years. He served as Sergeant at Arms, President, and Apprenticeship Instructor. When he wasn’t working, Marvin loved to bowl with Wanda, enjoy the racing at Columbus Motor Speedway, and spending time with family.

A service to honor Marvin’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. The Newcomer Family is honored to serve the Cochran Family.
